MOTOROLA MOTO G5 VS XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4: WHICH IS THE IDEAL SMARTPHONE FOR YOU?

After Motorola introduced the Moto G5 Plus in India last month, the company launched the smaller and cheaper Moto G5 yesterday at New Delhi. Priced at Rs 11,999, the smartphone will be available exclusively via Amazon India. For the priced offered, the new Moto G5 stacks up against one of the most popular smartphones in the market today – Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Two great smartphones but which one emerges a winner? Let’s find out.
The Moto G5 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display along with a 1920X1080 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 1920X1080 pixels resolution.
The Moto G5 is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The new Moto 5 features the latest Google OS - Android 7.0 Nougat. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top.
The Moto G5 comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture with PDAF pixels and a 5MP front facing camera. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture with PDAF pixels and a 5MP front facing camera along with f/2.0 aperture.
The Moto G5 packs in a 2800mAh battery while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 packs in a 4100mAh battery.
Firstly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 packs in a larger screen size compared to the Moto G5. In terms of performance, Redmi Note 4 packs in a faster processor but the Moto G5 includes more RAM. If we talk about the camera, both share the same specifications, on paper. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 packs in the highest rated battery compared to the other smartphone and also sports the latest version of Android Marshmallow.
